SpainxReader La Tortilla de Patatas (one shot)

Today your boss let you go early. Extremely early, he let you go at one when you usually get off at six. So you decided to make dinner for your Spanish boyfriend of three years, Antonio.  Instantly you thought of a potato omelet (1). Usually you two ate that for breakfast (in Spain they eat it whenever, but it has eggs, so you prefer to eat it in the morning), but decided to make it for dinner. Usually Antonio made the dish, but you still knew how to make it.

~TIME SKIP-After grocery shopping~

After putting on a (f/c) apron and tying up your (h/l), (h/c) hair in a (pony/bun/braid…) you were ready, and began humming.

~TIME SKIP -Antonio’s POV~

Today was the day. I was so excited. My boss even let me off early; I got off at four instead of six. I had it all planned out. I was going to make a nice dinner, a surprise for when she got home. Going home was faster than usual because there wasn’t as much traffic as there is regularly, and I enjoyed that.

The whole ride home, I had a smile on my face and my fingers wouldn’t stop tapping. I couldn’t wait to see mi amor.

~TIME SKIP-So sorry :’(~

Finally I was home. As I opened the door, an amazing smell hit my nose. I knew that smell anywhere, la tortilla de patatas (potato omelet).

“______?” I cautiously called.

“Yeah Babe?”

I followed the smell and voice into the kitchen. There I saw ____ making what I had smelled. La tortilla de patatas.

“Oh, chica. What are you doing?” I saw a small smile and slight blush creep onto her features, probably from the old name ‘chica’.

“I’m making us dinner.” She said with a cheery smile.

“ Well what are you making?”

“La tortilla de patatas.”

Oh how I loved when you spoke in spanish.

“Is it almost ready?”

“Mhmm, in fact, it’s done.” She says flipping it out of the pan. We sit at the table and dig in. It’s not that bad, but mine is better, but NEVER would I tell you that.

“How do you like it?” _____ asked.

“Muy delicioso!”

“Don’t lie Toni, I know it’s bad.” She said calmly.

“No, no mi amor. It’s terrific!”

“Toni.”

“Fine, si, but it’s not bad, not bad at all. But yeah, mine is better.” At that we both laugh.

“Ah! Mi amor! I have a surprise for you!”

“What is it?” She asked, as I walked around the table next to you, I turn your body so you’re sideways on your chair and facing me.

“Now close your eyes.” You cover you eyes.

After I get down on one knee and pull out a ring.

“Okay, open.”

-NORMAL POV-

“*GASP*”

“(First name) (middle name) (last name), ever since I first met you, I’ve dreamed of spending the rest of my life with you. So will you please make my dream a reality?”

“Yes, yes Antonio! Yes, of course!” You tackle him and passionately kiss him, Antonio kissing with just as much passion. Then you break away and start to giggle. At first Antonio starts to pout, but smiles his amazing smile with a light blush. ‘Watching you giggle is the best thing,’ he thought.

“What’s so funny mi amor?”

“I know the perfect way to celebrate.” You seductively whisper. Immediately Antonio turned red like his tomatoes. Again you start laughing.

“*Over dramatic gasp* Toni! Not like that!” You playfully slap him. Getting off of him you walk over to the fridge and take out two small dishes.

“I made flan for dessert!”

“Yes! Oh _____, I love you! And flan.”

“Si, I know Toni. I love you too.”
